Is it Spring ? Feels like Summer-Have to stop and think ,this is APRIL!! Amazing weather. The hot weather slows you down , I'm feeling very chilled (I have someone to come and water for me,so I feel less pressured, a spare hour!)
Hope you all enjoy your Easter break -Just don't let your eggs melt! My son got an ice cream maker for his Birthday ,we are enjoying the fruits of his labour! Very yummy.

Happy Easter all.

A walk in the woods ,cool of the evening. A welcome break -
Iv been a bit stressed of late, this is my bustiest time of the year. Potting up plants, sowing seeds , weddings, getting the garden ready for open day . All this with half term too! My son had his12th Birthday. We had a lovely day on the river with a picnic,he baked his own cake,as he adores cooking now, he got a Raymond Blanc cookbook and an Ice cream maker (amazing ice cream in half an hour,so good this weather!)
I have now got someone to help water the plants, so I popped my feet up last night and enjoyed the garden. Who needs to travel when we have this glorious weather.

Well, I never!..........

I had some exciting news today- I was approached by a TV company ,as they are making a programme about `Britain's best loved gardens` with Alan Titchmarsh . They are doing a programme on growing cut flowers and they have asked me!! They are coming to shoot in June. This is the reason I have not been able to organise workshops. They will have to re- schedule these for September. Alan is coming here!!!

Last years Sweet Pea tunnel
Phew, Mothers Day preparations were manic. We nearly ran out of flowers. I have been vintage shopping today, this week I shall show you my finds. Seed sowing is top on the list now. I have Sweet peas growing away in the poly tunnel. The Autumn sown ones damped off , but these sown in the Spring seem very happy chaps indeed, lots of strong growth. I shall start to harden them off this week. Sow some now-go on you wont regret it,they smell so divine. Seeds and plants from
